In April, 2002, the German Network for Quality Development in Nursing (DNQP) issued a national guideline for the prevention of pressure ulcers. As has been reported by CAREkonkret, a sample survey among nursing assistants and aides found that many consider the nursing standard for the prevention of pressure ulcers only partly suitable for practical use in outpatient and inpatient care.
